Sponsor a Seat Campaign- Update

Our Sponsor a Seat campaign has raised over £9,000 to date and we currently have 37 seats sponsored from an array of individuals and companies. Earlier this month, we were delighted to welcome our seat sponsors into school for a special celebration afternoon, where they saw their plaques for the first time.  

 Sponsoring a seat is a great way to show your support for Elmhurst Ballet School. Individuals have sponsored seats in memory of a loved one, as a gift for someone who’s inspired them, for a friend or relative, or for themselves. By sponsoring a seat, you are helping us to continue our legacy as a world-leader in ballet education and training.

This summer, we completed phase one of our fundraising campaign which was the refurbishment of the seats. Phase two, which we hope to begin in 2024, will be an overhaul of our lighting and sound system, which in addition to improving the quality of our performances will also help us to dramatically improve our sustainability, through the installation of LED lighting. Then, looking a bit further ahead, phase three will be the replacement of our Harlequin sprung flooring, which is incredibly important as it absorbs the shock of repeated impact to students’ joints and reduces injury from falls.

Our fundraising target for phases two and three combined is over £200,000, which will be a huge but important undertaking for the school. So, we are extremely grateful to our seat sponsors who have already enabled us to complete our first milestone.
