Sonia Fajardo

Sonia is a graduate of Cubans National Ballet School, under the direction of Ramona de Saa Bello and pupil of Josefina Mendez, one of the Four Jewels of the Cuban Ballet Sonia has 16 years of experience as a Soloist Dancer and over 30 years as Choreographer, Director and Ballet Teacher. She also has completed a Master of Education (Advanced Management Education), a Degree in Dance majoring in Teaching Classical Dance, a Masters in Classical Dance, and holds a Dance Professor Title at the University of Carabobo.

She has been the Owner and Director of the Ballet Company Nueva Era del Ballet for 21 years and has directed International Performances, Festivals and Competitions in Scotland, South Africa, Malaysia, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Cuba, United States, Portugal, Israel, Germany, Panam, Russia and Venezuela. Ms Fajardo has won several international medals and recognitions as Solo Contestant. As a Ballet Teacher, her students have won more than 20 international medals around the world and many national prizes. Sonia has also received special recognition from Cuba's National Ballet School for her constant participation during her 20 years at the International Ballet School Meetings and International Ballet Competitions organized by Cuba's National Ballet School.
