Every year at Elmhurst on the last day of the academic year our Awards Ceremony celebrates the student community, especially those who have gone that extra mile to shine and excel. We are proud of all our students’ achievements and the annual ceremony is an opportunity to applaud the many artistic, academic and leadership qualities across the Lower and Upper School.
This year the virtual Award Ceremony was streamed live to parents, guardians, family and friends in the UK and around the world – with parents of international students tuning in from Australia, Japan, Europe and The Americas.
Throughout the last 18 months we have been honoured to receive and welcome some incredible sector support aimed at guiding our students ever closer to their careers in dance. This Awards Ceremony was no different as we surprised the graduating students with messages of encouragement from dance glitterati – many who have worked with us over the last academic year and more and we look forward to working with them again in the very near future.
It is with very special thanks to Dame Arlene Phillips, Dame Darcey Bussell, Sir Matthew Bourne, Wayne McGregor CBE, Carlos Acosta CBE, Edward Watson MBE, Brandon Lawrence, Davy Lazare, Theresa Ruth Howard, and Elmhurst alumni Nicol Edmonds, Emma Price, Joshua Barwick and Rosanna Ely and many more including the school’s faculty that ensure our students continue to be inspired to reach for the stars.
