Dancing Boutique has been supplying dancewear to Elmhurst Ballet School and Elmhurst Young Dancers since 2004 and is the latest member of Elmhurst’s 500 CLUB – a fundraising initiative for businesses large and small to support Elmhurst in its commitment to nurture the very best dance talent from across the world.
Dancing Boutique was founded in 1971 and the company has stayed in the same family growing into a sought after dancewear supplier to leading dance schools and a much loved place for dancers to seek out expert advice, professional pointe shoe fitting and shop from a large range of dancewear. In 2019, the company moved into new hands and new ownership, still family owned, building on Dancing Boutique’s success of the last 50 years.
Dancing Boutique has very kindly offered to sponsor two Elmhurst students, one boy and one girl, providing dance uniform for their 20/21 academic year.
Mark Curtis, a Partner at Dancer Boutique, said: “We are proud of the work we do for Elmhurst and are passionate about the support we are able to give the pupils. Visiting every three weeks, in normal times, we get to know the dancers and there is a sense of family about the school that we are thrilled to be part of.
Dancing Boutique has provided bursaries for many years and Kate and I are delighted to continue with this worthwhile and rewarding initiative, supporting young dancers, even more so at a time when it may be most needed.”
Jessica Wheeler, Elmhurst’s Principal, added: “We are extremely grateful to all our 500 CLUB businesses who continue to support the next generation of elite ballet dancers. Our world-leading school nurtures individuality to help talented young people from all walks of life, regardless of their backgrounds. Philanthropic support is critical to all their futures and we are thrilled Dancing Boutique have come on board and offered further help with bursaries for two sixth form students.”
The dancewear supplier joins an ever-growing list of 500 CLUB members and we thank them all for their continued support: Birmingham Botanical Gardens; J&A Fine Arts; Calthorpe Estates; Davidson Estates; EFG Harris Allday; Ena’Dzi Int.
