Damani Williams Returned to School

The 2025 Elmhurst Ballet School Awards Ceremony marked the culmination of the academic year and celebrated the 21st year of the school's achievements in Birmingham. This year, we were honoured to welcome a very special guest back to the school to present the awards. 

During the 2024/25 academic year, we have celebrated numerous remarkable achievements and successes. On 11 July, we looked towards the future of dance as we honoured our current students who have excelled, gone above and beyond, or made significant strides in their work. 

We were thrilled to have Elmhurst alumnus Damani Williams as our very special guest on the day. Damani, who trained at Elmhurst and graduated in 2013, toured with the Birmingham Royal Ballet in his final year. Recently retired from an impressive eleven-year international career, Damani’s story serves as a shining example of success for our students. We are delighted he returned to the school to present the awards. Thank you, Damani, and congratulations on your outstanding achievements in the dance world. We are extremely proud to call you an Elmhurst alumnus. 

In recognising our students, the awards also highlighted the expertise of Elmhurst staff, whose dedication and skill enable the young people in our care to flourish.
