We are looking for an inspirational and dynamic individual to provide peripatetic singing teaching services to the school on a self-employed basis.

The self-employed Singing Teacher will plan, resource, arrange music and deliver imaginative, interactive and inspiring lessons for individuals that ensure that effective learning takes place and pupils make excellent progress.

The successful provider will be accountable for pupil progress and attainment levels of pupils who receive lessons.

Our ideal provider of peripatetic singing teaching services will:

  • Be a passionate teacher of music and a committed team player;
  • Demonstrate high levels of ambition and optimism for the students and department;
  • Have the resolve to make a positive difference to the lives of pupils;
  • Be committed to Elmhurst Ballet School’s ethos of high expectations and no excuses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide an appropriate learning environment and source own teaching materials;
  • Plan and teach lessons in keeping with the ethos and standards of Elmhurst Ballet School;
  • Organise own diary and teaching timetable directly in consultation with the Head of Musical Support;
  • Keep a record of hours taught each month and invoice accordingly.

Essential:

  • Passionate about music and enthusiastic in approach to inspiring learners;
  • Relevant musical experience or qualifications (Grade exams, academic studies, etc.);
  • Reliable and well-organised;
  • Works flexible hours;
  • Excellent communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Teaching experience (private or in school);
  • Knowledge/experience of music exam boards.

Rate: £17.50 per half hour of teaching

Hours: Between 8:30 – 18:00 (Depending on hours offered, breaks unpaid). Hours per week dependent on student requirements, to be negotiated with the Director of Music.

Pre-engagement checks will be carried out for the successful provider in line with the School’s Safeguarding Policy, which include reference and employment history checks and an enhanced disclosure through the Disclosure and Barring Scheme (DBS).

Engagement of the successful provider is subject to acceptance of the School’s Terms of Engagement which can be provided upon request.

We’re on the lookout for a friendly, organised, and people person to join our team as a School Receptionist / Administrator.

Working Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm, you’ll be the first friendly face (or voice) people encounter when they visit, call, or email the school. From welcoming students and visitors to supporting staff and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, you’ll play a key role in the heartbeat of our busy, inspiring vocational ballet school.

We’re looking for someone who’s professional yet approachable, confident, and enjoys helping others. You’ll be part of a supportive admin team that makes sure everything flows seamlessly so our young dancers can focus on what they do best. Memberships and Corporate Partnerships Executive (part-time)

£16,200 per annum (actual salary) (£27,000 per annum FTE)

Fixed-term contract for 18 months (possibility of this being extended)

22.5 hours per week (to be worked over 3-5 days per week)

52 weeks (not term time only)

We are recruiting for a Memberships and Corporate Partnerships Executive who will play a key role in growing philanthropic and corporate support for Elmhurst Ballet School. This newly created role is target-driven and will focus on increasing membership enrolments, strengthen retention, and secure new corporate sponsorships.  As part of the Development Team, you will champion excellent member and partner relationships, drive income growth, and contribute to the wider success of our fundraising strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team. This is a part-time role working 22.5 hours per week, over 3-5 days per week, and may include occasional evening and weekend working. 

We are open to hearing from freelancers who have the skills and experience required for this role.
