In the year which Elmhurst Ballet School celebrates 20 years in Birmingham, its graduate year Elmhurst Ballet Company presents Mode. The young company have collaborated with established choreographers, dance artists and organisations to bring Mode to the stage.
The Company performs a wide range of repertoire including Wayne McGregor's FAR, an excerpt from Yuri Grigorovich's Spartacus, and one of the most celebrated pieces in all of classical ballet - The Kingdom of the Shades from Marius Petipa's La Bayadère.
New works created for this perfomance include: A first-time collaboration with Birmingham City University's School of Fashion and Textiles will celebrate all things fashion and catwalks in a new work called À la Mode (Christopher Tendai/Cris Penfold), Keeping the Faith (Cris Penfold), The Invitation (Sandrine Monin), Fête Galante (Michael Corder) and Geomantía (Scarlett Brass).
